The intelligent electric screwdriver can simultaneously record the tightening torque and angle. Although in most cases we use torque as the target value to control the tightening result, we can also use this function of the electric screwdriver to monitor the angle at which the bolt rotates when achieving the target torque. In large-scale production, fasteners and connecting parts are highly consistent parts, and the monitoring angle for tightening abnormal parts may deviate significantly from the data of normal parts. (1) Prevent repeated tightening

For workstations that require tightening multiple bolts, there may be errors in repeatedly tightening bolts that have already been tightened. Angle monitoring can prevent the occurrence of such errors. Repeat the tightening of the bolts that have already been tightened. As the tightened bolts have already reached the target torque, if the torque is applied again and tightened repeatedly, the angle value may even be much lower than the normal monitoring angle limit.

(2) Preventing Misinstallation of Bolts

The angle monitoring method can also capture errors in bolt misalignment. In response to the situation of capturing bolt misalignment through angle monitoring, it is necessary to analyze the difference in thread length to understand the required angle difference during tightening. By controlling this difference beyond the limit of the monitoring angle, mixed installation of different bolts can be achieved to prevent errors. If the wrong bolt is used while achieving the same tightening target torque, the monitoring angle for tightening is less than the monitoring range for the correct bolt tightening angle, and the tightening gun will alarm.

(3) Tightening curve error prevention method

For fasteners with sealing rings or soft pads, we can use the tightening curve error prevention method to prevent operators from forgetting to install these seals. This method uses the tightening curve of the fastener to determine whether to forget to install the seal. During the entire tightening process of fasteners, the tightening torque gradually increases from zero to the target torque. By monitoring and recording the entire process through the tightening program, the torque variation curve of the tightening process can be collected.
